M.O.H. Minister Michel Chebat Looking At All Posts

The former Minister of Health was an electrician by trade and his name is Pablo Marin of Corozal.  In Briceño’s new cabinet, the Minister of Health and Wellness is attorney Michel Chebat.  Chebat says that his lawyer skills will be put to good use and when it comes to decisions of a medical nature, he has assembled a team of doctors who will be advising him.  One of the most challenging matters facing the new government is the surge of the coronavirus which has caused up to ninety deaths so far.   In an interview this morning, Chebat also said everything is under review.

“I think the discipline of law helps me in terms of management administration, discipline. I think discipline is going to be important in the ministry but the good thing about this is that we have assembled a team of doctors who are going to be advising me as to the necessary steps that we need to take in the ministry. So have no fear. We are ready.”

“We are looking at all the posts. Obviously we need people who are going to be working with this government. We need people who are going to be efficient. We need people who are going to be effective. So we are looking at all posts.”

“All considerations are being given to everything at this moment. We are going to be reviewing performance and based on performance decisions will be made.”
