Trinidad nurses stage walkout
Nurses in Trinidad are still on the march in the second day of their walkout against government hospitals. The medical facilities are attempting to get by with a small number of non-striking nurses who are working multiple shifts. At press time tonight, there was still no news of a settlement. Nurses are demanding a 50% incentive allowance to prevent them from taking more lucrative jobs abroad. The Regional Health Authority has offered a 25% allowance.
