New Fisheries Administrator appointed
In other news from Belmopan there has been a shuffle in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. This afternoon Minister Dan Silva announced that Beverly Wade has been appointed as interim Fisheries Administrator while her predecessor, George Myvette, will take up a new post in the nation’s capital as Coordinator for Fisheries Policy and Legislation. The fisheries sector has been rapidly expanding both in terms of exports and the responsibility for safeguarding Belize’s marine environment.
