5 year old missing after school pickup

It may be just a routine failure of communication but tonight police are taking seriously a missing persons report involving a young child. 5-year-old Juanita Elmira Manzanero of mile twelve and a half on the Western Highway is a student at St. Mary’s Primary in Belize City. When her father arrived at school at 3:30 this afternoon to pick her up she was nowhere to be found. Her school bag was left behind, however, and her dad was informed that she had left the grounds in another car. Juanita is around four feet tall, slim, with short dark curly hair. She was wearing the St. Mary’s uniform of light brown blouse and dark brown skirt. Anyone who can help solve this hopefully benign mystery is asked to call police.
