Get Your Apples This Holiday Season from B.C.E.!

Alexander Perez

The Belize Camping Experience, through their Harvest for Kids programme, is asking for your support this Christmas holiday. They are back again with apples for sale to raise funds for activities for a thousand children they support throughout the year. This time around Alex Perez of the Belize Camping Experience says that the apples are going to be bigger and fresher.

Alexander Perez, Director, Belize Camping Experience/Harvest for Kids

“One of the things that is definitely happening better because we order apples in advanced, this year we are not bringing small, ‘chinchi’ apples. We are bringing medium to big apples so that we can have the most premium apples for our country and our kids. One of the other things that is definitely improving this year is the cooling system.    So, this year we were able to say how if we challenge an organization that helps us cool the apples and Caribbean Chicken responded to that call.  A month and a half ago they decided that they will do it and they will have to do some adjustments and so these apples are now coming from a refrigerated container and coming into another one and on top of that they are giving us truck that is going to be driving all district so that the apples will be distributed in twenty four hours in every wholesale across the country so that everyone in Belize can receive their apples without being damaged.   The container is bringing one thousand three hundred apple cases and that is where we need help because so many organizations that could afford five cases are only taking two. We had a lot of schools – our deal is very good but none of them are purchasing because of the pandemic.  If you know that you can afford one box of apple that costs one hundred and ten dollars you can take the charity of your choice across the country of Belize, you give us a call and we will take the name who you are making that donation to and so when the apples arrive we call them to pick up their apples in each location.”

The apples are scheduled to arrive in country next week Tuesday. A box is going for one hundred and ten dollars. You can call Perez directly at 614-5451
