The Director of the Institute of Creative Arts, Greg Vernon, has stepped down from his post, following the expiration of his contract with the National Institute of History and Culture at the end of September. Vernon has been a staple in Belize’s arts and culture, both as a dancer and a choreographer with the Belize Dance Company. He was also an employee of the Belize Arts Council. Vernon has also served in the capacity of Acting President of NICH. In the wake of Vernon’s departure, NICH continues to restructure with an aim to reinvigorate the country’s arts and culture industries.
