Banana worker believed murdered
The body of a man who disappeared on Friday was discovered yesterday, in Bladden, Toledo. According to police, 61 year old Julian Zeyala Lopez, an employee of a banana plantation, Farm 17, left camp early that morning to work in the fields but never returned. Three days later, on Monday employees found a set of dentures in the field and scouted the area. About a 1,000 yards away, the workers found a decomposed body in a newly dug grave covered with dry cohune leaves. Police were called to the area and the body was identified as Julian Lopez. The body was transported to the Dangriga morgue. Police have detained an employee of the farm for questioning but have not made any arrests.
