Escaped prisoner still at large

19 year old Phillip Jones Tillett, who is considered armed and dangerous, remains at large after he escaped from police custody at the Queen Street Police Station. Tillett was serving a 20-year sentence for manslaughter after he was convicted of shooting Wei Tao Jhiang on Mahogany Street on November 6th, 1997. Tillett was being held at the station pending an appearance in court for burglaries committed prior to his manslaughter conviction. Police say the prisoner asked to use the bathroom, but once inside broke the window and escaped.
