“Police were called to the riverside in Libertad Village where they spoke with Erlindo Matura who reported to them that he along with Jaime Jimenez and another man had gone hunting six miles southwest of Libertad Village on a farm and upon reaching that area they went different directions and during the process, sometime after three p.m., Matura told police that he saw movements coming from within the bushes which he believed was a deer and as a result he fired a shot gun into that area and when he went to check he saw Jimenez on the ground bleeding. As a result, he and the other male person with whom he had gone hunting with were able to transport Jimenez out to Libertad however it appeared that he had already died. Matura has since been taken into custody and his firearm has also been retrieved pending outcome of investigation.”
