Miss Rainforest pageant in March

The Essence of Belizean Beauty Inc. has announced the second Miss Rainforest International Pageant to be held in March. This years’ pageant features contestants from thirteen countries: Aruba, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, England, Guatemala, Honduras, Malta, Mexico and Paraguay. There will be a press conference on February 29th in San Ignacio, where the contestants will be introduced and available for interviews. The master of ceremonies for the pageant will be Javier Gutierrez and entertainers include the One World Band featuring Andy Palacio, the San Pedro Dance Co., Augustine Garifuna Group, Culture Club and the Super Nova Girls. Last year’s winner was Sylvia Navarro of the Dominican Republic. The pageant takes place March 3rd at the Novelo’s Convention Center in Santa Elena Cayo.
