Belizean Beast Rakeem Nunez Roches in Superbowl LV

From Culture Capital to the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida for one of the world’s biggest sporting events. This year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, one of the qualifying teams in this year’s Superbowl LV, features “The Belizean Beast.”  He is Rakeem Nunez Roches, born in Dangriga. Roches is now a defensive tackle for the Buccaneers and plays alongside famed quarterback Tom Brady. Whether you are a fan of the sport or just watch for the entertainment in the half time show, this Superbowl Sunday there’s a lot more to look forward to as one of our own takes the field. Roches’ grandmother spoke to WAVE Three News in Louisville, Kentucky about the family’s excitement.
