Still No Arrests for Jerome McLaren’s Murder
While there are two persons in custody for questioning in the murder of Carter Junior, police have yet to arrest the motorcycle killer in the callous execution of Jerome McLaren. The twenty-one-year-old was killed in front of his family on Cleghorn Street on Monday night when the gunman rode up, entered the residence and unleashed a barrage of bullets on McLaren, ending his life on the spot. Today, Superintendent Alejandro Cowo told the media that investigators are following several leads.
Supt. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Eastern Division
“Police are still picking up different persons that we suspect can assist us in the investigation and we have been questioning several of them. But we are still trying to establish the identity of the shooter.”
Duane Moody
“What is the motive behind his murder? Is it mistaken identity? What triggered that?”
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
“Well we have different information that we are following up and we cannot disregard that probably it might be mistaken identity, but we have several leads that are pointing more to something that had happened earlier where his name was called out.”
