P.S.U. on Possible Impact on Gov’t Department
Flowers says that the union is also concerned about the impact this can have on the proper management of government departments.

“When someone is holding a position by virtue of attrition, having matriculated into that position that person, at times, have an appreciation for the quality of service that needs to be delivered and for the treatment that is rendered to those Belizeans. But when somebody is politically appointed, nominated by the Prime Minister and then of course appointed by the Governor General, it is our view that that person does not have the same kind of appreciation for the job and the service in and of itself.”
