The U.D.P. Calls Out G.O.B. on Dr. Manza!

The United Democratic Party came out swinging today in support of Doctor Marvin Manzanero.  The party says their position is one of principle and not a political statement.  According to Leader of the Opposition Patrick Faber, Doctor Manzanero is a consummate professional who is being unfairly targeted and victimized.  The U.D.P. also slammed the government for what they say is a failure to observe the good governance motions they have championed, disregarding for the Public Service Regulations where Doctor Manzanero’s issue is concerned.

“Our position as it relates to what is happening to Dr. Manza is in no way political. Dr. Manzanero is no flag bearing member of the United Democratic Party.  We would want you to view our position as a position of where we feel righteousness should be and not necessarily fighting a case for Dr. Manzanero.”

“What has happened along the way is that is an allegation of professional misconduct and it is quite alarming, to say the least. He acted on the advice and in consultation with the task force and at all times he was an agent of the state and if there was to be an allegation against him is to say that really what the government is doing is attaching liability to his actions…if you try to attach liability….you are making yourself liable because you are the government.  The position of the United Democratic Party is simple – before you take political decisions, be transparent…and act in accordance and always take into consideration that what you do may or may not attract liability.”
