Is Zhourong Li from Alaska?
Entwined in the saga involving the late model government vehicle is the purchase of multiple parcels of crown land by businessman Kelvin Li. It is believed those transactions were expedited for Li through the Ministry of Natural Resources where Hugo Patt was the political boss. Not surprisingly, monies for the purchase of the vehicle came from Li who instructed a third party to make the payment on his behalf. This morning, Patt was asked about his familiarity with the businessman whose given name is Zhourong Li.

“No, Mr. Chairman.”

“Are you familiar with that name, any?”

“Would it surprise you to learn that over the period July 23rd, 2020 to November 3rd, 2020, just before the elections, the week before the elections, you had approved the transfer of some ten parcels of land to Mr. Zhourong Li?”

“I really can’t tell, Mr. Chairman. As I indicated, Lands is a department that produces in volumes, so that when you talk on a monthly basis or on an annual basis, the volumes are pretty much high. So getting a name or identifying a person within so many applications is pretty much impractical from my end.”

“Over the period July 2020 through November 2020, you transferred eight lots on San Pedro to Mr. Zhourong Li. Do you remember that?”

“I do not remember, Mr. Chairman. I don’t, as I said, individually it would be very difficult for me to actually identify who got approved a parcel of land and who did not.”
