“I want to thank all Corozaleños who came out to vote, regardless of whoever you voted for. Team Rigo, P.U.P. Town Council is here to serve everyone. The people of Corozal have spoken and they have spoken very clearly. They love the idea of having a P.U.P. central government and a P.U.P. town council. And I guarantee them that there will be a lot of work being done because there is a lot of work to do. This is the way we want to keep it in Corozal, P.U.P. because P.U.P. works.”
Seventy-two percent of the voting population in the town came out to cast their vote; it’s the highest for the entire election. According to Vellos, the win is reassurance from the residents and the work of the council continues.

“Look at the infrastructure on Fourth Avenue that has started and also on Port Saul. We know that the cries of the people are heavily about infrastructure and job creation and we will make sure that w target those two areas very importantly and aggressively because whatever we pledge to the people we want to accomplish; that’s the vision and that’s our plan.”
