Was Jimmy Robinson Robbed of His House?

The Port Loyola land dispute this morning began when residents noticed that a wooden house was brought to the area to be installed. They put a stop to that and the police were called in. But as we found out there are issues surrounding the transportation of the house to the area. Jimmy Robinson, who is one of the owners of the structure, says a pending court case against his ex-common-law wife means the house should not have been moved.

“Pass my areas, I want know how the fence broke down and by the time I pass back dah cause Mennonites di broke down the house. So I say what? How? And we both build this together.  Thursday when I deh dah di spot, Mister Usher son deh deh and he say it with ih own mouth that he sign or co-sign for some money weh she come and present to me to put towards fi make I mi build this house. I tell ahn if I mi know that, I neva mi wah accept any funds from dehn to put towards our house. Now there is a lot of things weh di come out and now as this man get ina power, outta the blues, she got land down yah, my fence di get bruk down and house di get move yah. Out of the blues. Dehn noh even get the thing disconnected from B.E.L. properly. They just cut it off the house, cut the water off of the house, drop it and start wheel it yah. This mawning, I gone through a desperate attempt and I seize the keys fi di truck and they call police; police practically mi di chase me pan the boulevard for the keys to that truck because they know the only way that they coulda move the house dah through an order from the court. When dehn done decide what dah what. I have my evidence, you have your evidence; make we put that and see what happen. But you can’t just pick up and move something and put somebody out the door.”
