Man charged with assaulting a child
Public awareness about sex crimes against children, especially little girls, has certainly increased but awareness appears not to have stopped one man from allegedly molesting a child in public. The witnesses reported the incident to the police and the man was arrested. Reports are the man, who lives near Caesar Ridge Road took a ten year old girl to a shop, made her lay on the floor and licked her chest. A resident who spoke to News Five says this is not the first time the man has been seen acting inappropriately with the child and alleges that the family did not do anything to stop him because he buys them groceries. The neighbors called Social Services, and in the company of police, they have investigated the matter. The child in question was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and where, according to Social Services a medical examination indicated she showed signs of further sexual abuse. Police have arrested and charged sixty-seven year old William Eiley, a fisherman of 7187 Cesar Ridge Road and charged him with indecent assault. Anyone who wishing to make a report of a suspected case of child abuse can call the National Organization for the Prevention of Child Abuse (NOPCA) at 71010 or 78834 or to the Family Services Division at 72057.
