Belize-Taiwan Bilateral Cooperation Extended
Belize and Taiwan have signed the 2021-2025 memorandum of understanding on Bilateral Cooperation. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration of Belize, Eamon Courtenay and Taiwanese Ambassador Remus Li-Kuo Chen signed the document at the Laing Building on Wednesday. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the M.O.U. extends the 2017-2020 agreement. The M.F.A. says both governments are committed to deepening cooperation and collaboration in areas such as public health, agriculture, trade, education, women’s empowerment, and environment. The five-year plan will also safeguard the welfare of the citizens of both countries.
