M.O.U. Signed for Roadwork in Hopkins
If you live in Hopkins or visit that area often, you will be pleased to hear that the road is going to be improved. This week a partnership between the public and private sector for the road work took shape with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Belize Tourist Board, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing, and private tourism businesses in the area. The joint project will cost around eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The one point two miles to be paved is the portion from GariMaya Gift Shop where the existing pavement ends, down to the Beaches and Dreams Hotel.
