B.T.L. Condemns False Report of Staff Terminations
Earlier today, there was a flurry of activity on social media when it was reported that B.T.L. had terminated over a hundred employees. While the so-called firings were never confirmed prior to publication of the news story, the article went on to say that as many as two hundred workers would be let go from the telecommunications company. As it turns out, the report was inaccurate, prompting a response from B.T.L. to set the record straight. In a press release issued late this evening, that company says, “as part of its normal operations it reviews the relationships with contracted employees to see how best to further optimize. In this current economic environment, all businesses must do so on a continuous basis if they are to remain commercially viable… Today, the organization informed some twenty staff that their fixed contracts ending March thirty-first, 2021 come to a natural end.”
