Female footballers want more clubs

Story Picture
If you are a female between the ages of twelve and twenty-five and love to play ball then you might consider becoming a member of the Millennium Female Football Club. According to Adelma Broaster, a footballer and a club member, they want to strengthen female football in Belize. They are looking for females who are disciplined and competitive.

Adelma Broaster, Member, Millennium Female Football Club

“There are not that many female teams right now, currently in Belize. There is about two right now and this one will make three and we see the need for the club because in order for us to play games really, basically the female teams are there, they are organized. But what they are doing is basically just working out and there is no competition. So I think there is a great need to formulate more clubs. I know they used to have teams in Hattieville and Lucky Strike but these teams have become dormant, practically non existent.”

Interested young women are asked to contact Broaster at the B.N.F.A. office on North Front Street or Coach Anthony Phillips at the Yabra Field, Mondays to Fridays from six to seven thirty p.m.
