Ashton Puerto Sentenced for Roaring Creek Death
In the Belmopan session of the Supreme Court, twenty-three-year-old Ashton Puerto is spending his first week of a seventeen-year prison sentence after he was found guilty of the lesser charge of Manslaughter. Puerto was charged in July of 2016 for the murder of Maleek Norris in Roaring Creek Village. The two had a dispute over money and a bicycle and although relatives advised them to let the issue go, they met up and on July tenth, 2016 in the Another World area of the village Norris was shot and killed.
