Belize City Man Drowns!
A man drowned in Belize City over the weekend. Police say that twenty-nine-year-old Marc Russell was at a boatyard when he began to have a seizure, fell and hit his head and went underwater. Another colleague was on site and tried to rescue him but failed to do so. Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero has the details.
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Information received is that he was doing security guard duties along with another security guard in that area when he suffered a seizure and fell into the water hitting his head on one of the boats and he went under the boat. The person who was there attempted to rescue him but he couldn’t bring him out. The body was taken to the K.H.M.H. where he was pronounced dead on arrival.”
