No Reminder Necessary for Lawbreakers

Chester Williams

While those fliers are being freely circulated, ComPol Williams says that it is not his duty to reach out to proprietors and organizers to discourage these activities.  According to the top cop, those found in violation, including attendees, will be dealt with to the full extent of the law.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“Again, we must understand that we are in this together.  The threat of the COVID-19 pandemic is still real.  Yes, we are seeing a reduction in the number of daily infections but that doesn’t mean that we are out of the woods.  We’re still pretty much within that sphere of virus spreading and we don’t want to have a third wave.  So we all must play our individual role by acting responsibly in complying with the protocols put in place to ensure our safety.”

Chester Williams

“Well no I am not going to reach out to them.  If it is that they break the law then they are going to be dealt with.  I believe by now everyone knows what the law is and I would want to think that they deliberately intend to break the law and so if it happens then we are going to ensure that they feel the brunt of the law, simple as that.”
