John Briceño

The Government of Belize is putting in place the necessary measures to keep the public service operational should the Public Service Union take industrial action. As we have reported, the Public Service Union has already served G.O.B. with a twenty-one-day notice. Among the public servants are key revenue collectors whose absence from office could possibly sink the public finances into a deeper crisis.  Well, PM Briceño says, not on his watch.

Prime Minister John Briceño

“Every responsible Government must be concerned about it. But we are also working our plans that we should go done that road that we can put in place the necessary measures that we can continue to collect revenues. We are putting things in place that the Government can function.
