Vega Condemns the Neglect of Corozal

Corozal Bay area rep Elvia Vega Samos, the newest member of parliament, spoke for only fifteen minutes.  Her brief comments were filled with disapproval of the U.D.P.’s Corozal North Area Representative. She pledged to provide better leadership in Corozal Bay.

“I cannot fathom the idea how the member for Corozal North can stand up here today in a righteous manner, when he along with two ministers from Corozal, and Corozal is still the second poorest district in the country. I cannot understand how he can stand up here today and be in a hypocritical manner.  It really pains my heart to see that after so many years under the Barrow administration, Corozal has not gotten the attention that is so desperately needs. I am committed to uplifting Corozal into a safer and thriving community for under-privileged families and upcoming generations. I can safely say that under the leadership of John Briceño, prosperity will come to Corozal Bay.”
