Events of past one hundred years at House of Culture
As Belizeans get ready to celebrate the turning of the Century, the House of Culture has mounted an exhibition which gives a broad sampling of key events in Belizean history and politics over the past one hundred years. News Five spoke with Director Lita Krohn.

“We have come a long way in the last one hundred years and this is some of the highlights which I chose of course. And my disclaimer is that anyone can come and put in my book of comments what they feel may have been left out. We’ll never be able to please everybody but it’s important for us to look back and take a tally or review where we have come, where we have been and from there, you know, look ahead.”
The exhibit will be on until January twenty-fifth. The House of Culture is open from eight a.m. through lunch until four thirty p.m., Monday to Friday. Entrance is free.
