Fledgling trees damaged by vandals
A private citizen is offering a reward for information leading to the prosecution and conviction of those responsible for damaging a number of young palm trees on St. Thomas Street in King’s Park. Stephen Heusner told News Five he decided to offer a three hundred dollar reward after he drove down the street this weekend. He was disgusted by the attack on the little trees and wanted to do something to stop the damage. The palms were planted in September of 1998 by area Beautification Committee headed by Victoria Pelayo. You can contact Stephen Heusner at Heusner’s Dental Lab on Albert Street.
