Prison officer encounters armed men near compound
At the same time that the Prison Superintendent was live on “One on One” with Dickie Bradley, one of her officers encountered a dangerous situation behind the maximum-security section of the prison. Three armed men dressed in black were near the outer fence, perhaps waiting for an inmate to try and come out, or maybe they intended to enter the prison, but whatever the case, prison officer Valentine Casy, who was patrolling the grounds, interrupted their plans. He told police he fired three shots at the men, but they fled.
