Frankels were Shot; Victims of Home Invasion
As we said, the gruesome discovery was made just after midday today; this was one day after their vehicle was found abandoned in an area off the John Smith Link Road. A post-mortem examination conducted on the bodies of Mark and Leticia Frankel certified that the couple was shot dead before their bodies were dumped. This afternoon Commissioner of Police Chester Williams told the media that evidence suggests that the Frankels were victims of a home invasion.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“Today again the police resumed search along with residents of the area and sometime this afternoon, the two bodies were found in a separate feeder road about two miles off the John Smith Road. Upon inspection of the body, they do have injuries consistent with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The bodies have since been transported to the medical lab on the Boom Road where a post-mortem examination will be conducted. We do have a number of persons that we are looking at and the police is surely going to conduct an intense investigation with a view to ascertain who is responsible and bring him or those persons to justice.”

“We’re told their home was ransacked, is there a robbery element?”
Chester Williams
“Well it is consistent with a burglary.”
Andrea Polanco
“Sir, anything from the couple’s life, particularly the husband, that may give police an indication as to why they were targeted? Any criminal history or involvement?”
Chester Williams
“No, we don’t have anything to suggest that either or those persons are involved in any criminal activities. And like I said, the motive at this time seems to be a burglary.”
