Police Investigating Cayo District Murder

There was also a murder reported in the Cayo District. Fifty-one-year-old Celestino Cob died as a result of chop wounds he sustained to the throat.  According to Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero, Cob left his Santa Elena home on Sunday night and that was the last time he was seen alive.

“On Monday the twenty fourth day of May 2021, police responded to reports that body was found on the Santa Familia Road. They then visited the area where they found Celestino Cob with chop wounds to the body. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Information is that he was seen the night before and thereafter his body was found in that area.”
