Randolph Gentle is Killed in Deadly Antelope Street Ambush
A deadly attack similar to one witnessed on Church Street on May eighth, has once again claimed the life of an innocent Belize City resident. Police say fifty-eight-year-old Randolph Gentle was not the intended target of a pair of gunmen who opened fire at a residence on Antelope Street last Friday. He was simply there socializing with a group of persons at that location when they were ambushed. The incident comes on the heels of a spate of homicides that are described as gang-related. Superintendent Alejandro Cowo provided additional details.
Supt. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Eastern Division
“On Friday night, just about ten p.m., police were called to shots being fired on Antelope Street. As a result, they visited 18 Antelope Street and inside of a compound they found Mr. Randolph Gentle and Warren Davis, both of them were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to their bodies. They were transported to the hospital where, unfortunately, Mr. Gentle passed away shortly afterwards. Mr. Davis is still admitted at this present time and he is in a stable condition.”
