D-Revelation holds Barefoot ’99
Belize’s first millennium celebration will be held this weekend in the open air at Rogers’ Stadium. D-Revelation Band says the Barefoot ’99 concert will be a chance for families to get together and celebrate two thousand years of Jesus Christ. Performers include the Heavenlies Gospel Band, which had their own sold out concert a couple of weeks ago, the Ontario Boys dance group from Roaring Creek, Dance Team International and Dance Team Belize. Paul Flowers says D-Revelation will share songs from their new album due out in April and a special tribute to the murdered children called, “Leave the Children Alone.”

“We are really expecting a special presentation. We are going to the Rogers’ Stadium, we want to be under the stars, celebrating 2000 years of Jesus. We felt that when people look up they should be seeing stars not technology you know.
We are also unveiling a special song for NOPCA. We have actually invited all the families. NOPCA is bringing all the families of all the victims who have lost children over the last three years. We will be bringing them on stage holding hands and a special song presentation for them which is giving the names of all of the victims.”
Barefoot ’99 begins Saturday night at seven thirty. Tickets are only five dollars in advance from major outlets and at Rogers’ Stadium until four p.m. At the gate the price is ten dollars.
