Teen dies after accident two weeks ago
A teenager has died from the injuries he received in an accident two weeks ago on the Northern Highway. Police investigations reveal that around seven on the night of Saturday November twentieth, Fred Nicholson was driving towards Corozal Town when between miles sixty-two and sixty-three he knocked down seventeen year old Estilito Alcoser Jr. who was riding a bike. Alcoser, a laborer of San Andres Village, sustained injuries to his head and face. After being taken to the Orange Walk Town Hospital he was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial where he died on Thursday of a brain hemorrhage. Nicholson has been charged with manslaughter by negligence and causing death by careless conduct. He was also driving without a driver’s license or insurance.
