City man charged for Fabers Road Robbery
The number of reported robberies continues to increase and law enforcement officials are trying to play catch up. Today twenty-one year old Allison Coye Junior of Central American Boulevard appeared in Magistrates’ Court accused of holding up seventeen year old Shanel Mendoza on Fabers Road and taking her cell phone and gold chain. Coye pleaded not guilty to the Robbery charge, but was remanded into custody until April seventeenth because the offence was committed with a firearm, which rules out bail. Mendoza reported that the incident occurred on February twenty-fifth when she was walking towards Fabers Snack shop and was accosted by a tall, slim man who pointed a chrome pistol at her, robbed her and rode away. Coye was not detained until March fifteenth by police on mobile patrol on Central American Boulevard.
