Pedestrian in Lemonal Killed by Hit and Run Motorcycle Driver
A man has been detained by police following a fatal road traffic accident on the Lemonal Village road. The detainee, who is expected to be arrested and charged, was allegedly riding a motorcycle in the area on Saturday night when he knocked down and killed Thomas Sutherland. Police say the driver fled the scene and was later found with a damaged motorbike in his possession.

“On Saturday the sixth day of June 2021, police responded to reports that there was a male person on the Lemonal Village Road, motionless. Police visited the area where they found the lifeless body of a male persons identified as Thomas Sutherland, with injures the body. He was taken to the KHMH where he was pronounced dead on arrival. An investigation was carried out into the matter which revealed that the deceased was hit by a motorcycle in the area, after which the person on the motorcycle fled from the area. Also, a search of the area led to the said motorcycle with damages. One person is now in custody and will be charged formally, sometime today.”
