Channel Five celebrates eighth birthday
It’s Channel Five’s eighth birthday and to celebrate, viewers are invited to tune in for a special celebration every night this week from eight to ten p.m. The fun begins tonight, but it’s not too late to get your coupons with your name and phone number in the birthday box. Extra coupons have been published this year. Managing Director Stewart Krohn says the party, and prizes, will be even better this year.
Stewart Krohn, Managing Director, Channel Five
“Virtually every night of the week in addition to the normal prizes that we give away, that everyone likes to get there will be some big prizes. B.T.L. will be giving away cellular phone. You have Continental Airlines, which will be giving a free ticket to anywhere they fly and the same with American Airlines. And we’re actually still negotiating for some more major prizes. So come every night this week and especially on Friday that grand prize which will also have the five hundred dollars cash from Channel Five is gonna be good fun.
All day people have been beating the path to Channel Five’s door to put in their coupons from the smallest children to the oldest senior citizens all day. And that will continue all week. In last week’s Belize Times we had our coupons and I think there were also two secret coupons placed in the Amandala of this past week. If you go back to your Amandala you will see two coupons that you can cut out and also on Thursday you will have Belize Times coming out again and on Friday once again in Amandala there will be a couple more secret coupons. So there is ample time for people to enter. They can enter as many times as they wish. As far as advertisers go we are more than willing to take the things that they want to give to the people of Belize and you can win really great prizes. It’s great for our advertisers because they get their products out to the people and get the goodwill that that entails and it’s great for our viewers.
So we’re asking everyone to watch TV tonight and remember don’t say hello say… “Gimme Five”.”
Tonight’s celebration begins at eight p.m. right after “The Parkers”.
