Family Court flooded after rain
This week, the staff at Family Court has not only been working to resolve problems facing their clients, but has spent the past four days dealing with a problem of their own. Water has flooded the main offices and bathroom, making it difficult for staff to conduct business. The water, which has been pouring in through the leaky roof of the Commercial Centre, has forced staff to rearrange furniture and put up electronic equipment. Counselors have had to meet with families in courtrooms as that section has been most affected. According to the staff they have reported the problem to the government but so far nothing has been done. They are concerned that with more rain forecast for the remainder of the week, their situation will only get worse.
