PM Recognizes New Leader of Opposition

While in Orange Walk today covering another story, which we will have for you later, we asked Prime Minister John Briceño about the dramatic shift in the political landscape over the past few days.

“It’s unfortunate that the Opposition is imploding. I know everybody likes to say that it is good to have a strong opposition, and of course an opponent would want a weak opponent. But, at the end of the day it is quite unfortunate what is happening to them, that they cannot get their act together. And as to the new Leader of the Opposition, I wish him well. I do not know how you will be able to manage when you have such deep divisions.”
