Teenager killed by hit and run driver in Sandhill
A fifteen year old boy from Sandhill was killed in a hit and run accident on Saturday night. Clifford Requeña was walking on the Northern Highway around ten p.m. when he was knocked down by a pick-up truck. He sustained head and body injuries and was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial but pronounced dead on arrival. Nineteen year old Oscar Leon Garcia of Belize City has been charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop and render aid.
