Police Booth for Kings Park
Immediately following the opening of the police station on Kings Street, the Minister of Home Affairs and the Commissioner of Police went over to the Lopez Mateo Park in the Kings Park area to inaugurate a police booth.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“Thanks to the Kings Park neighborhood watch group for the donation of the booth in the Lopez Mateo Park for police officers to operate. We know that the Kings Park area has had some issues with burglaries, as well as robberies, so that park we believe is strategically located to post police officers on a daily basis as well as to give them the necessary resources such as motorcycles or bicycles to do patrols in that once very quiet community. So, we believe that our presence there is going to restore that sense of safety and security for the people who live within that particular area.”
Williams says the police booth will be manned twenty-four-sevens.
