Bus passenger killed on Northern Highway
A man crossing the Northern Highway after getting off a bus was hit by a car and killed on Friday night. Nolberto Mal a twenty-nine year old laborer of Caledonia Village was pronounced dead on arrival at the Orange Walk Hospital. Hector Itzab of Corozal Town reported to police that the accident occurred when he overtook a bus that was parked at the junction of Caledonia Village around seven p.m. Itzab told police Mal ran across the road in front of the bus. Charges have yet to be filed against Itzab.
