Heavenlies hold gospel concert
The sixteen-member Heavenlies Gospel Band is having a special concert this Saturday to try and bring people back to the church. Public Relations Officer for the group Ian Mariano says the concert titled, “It Ain’t Easy” emphasizes that the Christian way of life is hard, but it brings great rewards. The Heavenlies are inviting Belizeans to come and celebrate with music for all tastes and ages.

“Let’s use the situation of our country after Mitch, the state of our country after Mitch. After we saw what God did for us, you know and if we judge from the celebrations, you know, you don’t really see people give God the praise, the thanks and praise that He deserves. Which shows the state of our nation, right.
So, we are trying to reach out, spreading the gospel, but we are doing it in a new, a catchy way. Because most people are of the notion that Christian music or things of the Lord are boring. So we are coming at you with a new form of ministry, letting you all know that church is a wonderful place.”
The Heavenlies Gospel Band will be playing Christian reggae, disco, pop and soul this Saturday night at the Parish Hall at seven thirty. Special buses are coming from Dangriga, Belmopan and Roaring Creek. For information call Ralph Stan Fraser at 08-23238.
