Cuban painter exhibits at Bellevue

Story Picture
The Bellevue Hotel is famous for its nighttime entertainment but now the management is hoping the public will stop in during the day as well to enjoy an art exhibit featuring the work of a Cuban artist. News Five got a preview of the show which opens tomorrow.

It is the first time that Joimen Lee, a Cuban painter is visiting Belize. Lee’s pieces, which are done in oil, tell a story about how living organisms and the environment interact with one another.

“In this exhibit you will not only see animals and plants but you will also see love within nature. Since the beginning of time man has always needed love and today it still exists among us all.”

Lee says the exhibition, which comes to a close on December thirty first, is to help greet the new millenium and the country of Belize.
