Multiple Shots Fired on Police Street
There was a late afternoon shootout on Police Street in Belize City. Fortunately, no one was killed. Around five p.m., two men on a motorcycle rode up in front of a property on the street and fired as many as twenty shots. News Five was told by witnesses that while the two assailants were fleeing the scene, men in the area returned fire. Reports on the ground are that children were on the property at the time of the shooting, but were not hurt, even though the house is riddled with bullet holes. Police responded to the scene.
