Pickup hits electricity pole on Western Highway
The driver of a pickup truck that ran off the Western Highway on the third is in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital with a broken leg and other injuries. Uvaldemar Leal reported he was driving towards Belmopan around one p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve at mile twenty and ran off the road. The truck crashed into a high-tension wire pole and the pole broke. Leal was taken to the hospital and his passenger Luis Hendy of Hattieville was treated for minor abrasions.
