CWU asks where is Environmental Clearance; BSI/ASR says it is not needed

Mose Hyde

According to C.W.U. President Hyde, stevedores have lost about one hundred and eighty six thousand dollars in income since B.S.I.’s move to Big Creek Port. Hyde took a jab at the sugar company, saying they should share their environmental clearance documentation for their Big Creek Port development.

Mose Hyde, President, CWU

“I am rather interested to know, since we are on the matter of sugar and those issues, if somebody could explain to me where the environmental clearance is for the ASR development in the Big Creek Port. Have you all seen it? All projects of that side have to get an environmental clearance. Please ask ASR to show you it.”

After the press conference, News Five reached out to B.S.I./A.S.R. which informed us they do not need an E.I.A., because they are building on already established Port grounds.
