Eder Hall is Gunned Down in Corozal
There was an execution-style murder in Corozal Town this morning when a thirty-year-old resident of Chan Chen Village was gunned down while purchasing food on South Street. Eder Hall was placing an order at the deli when an unknown man appeared on the scene and stood beside him. That individual, it is reported, then produced a firearm from the waist of his pants. Hall attempted to flee from the gunman by running down the street, but he was pursued by his attacker who fired multiple shots in his direction. During the spray of bullets, Hall was mortally wounded. He was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. A search of News Five’s archives indicates that in May 2017, Eder Hall, his brother Eliazar and his employee, identified as Emir Rosado, escaped a kidnapping attempt when they visited Ranchito Village to purchase a vehicle. The trio arrived at an arranged location only to be met by three armed men who robbed Hall of fifteen thousand dollars, as well as other personal effects belonging to his sibling and workman. They were then tied up and transported to Libertad Village where the purported intention of their abductors was to toss them into the New River.
