A National Climate Change Policy, Strategy & Master Plan

As you heard earlier from Minister of Climate Change Orlando Habet, Belize has decided to increase its national determined contributions by five percent by 2030. And to ensure that the country meets its commitment, there is a need for an update to Belize’s national climate change policy, strategy and master plan – not to mention, its access to climate finance for mitigation and adaptation efforts.  So today, the updates in a draft report to that master plan for 2021 to 2025 was presented and validated during a virtual workshop today. One aspect looked at in the plan is the agriculture sector.
